Day 16: the Olympic Flame visited Stormont and Carrickfergus Castle on its journey from Belfast to Portrush.
The Olympic Flame travelled 126 miles, and was carried by 132 Torchbearers on its journey from Belfast to Portrush.
The Olympic Flame started the day in Belfast.
The Olympic flame travelled 126.85 miles through 21 communities during its first day in Northern Ireland.
The first Torchbearer in Northern Ireland was Karen Marshall, 31, from Tynan, who started with the Flame at the Belfast Titanic Centre. Karen was nominated for the voluntary work that she does in the local community.
The Flame was also carried to the front of Stormont by Geraldine Mccann, 56, from Lurgan, where it was officially welcomed. Geraldine was nominated through the London 2012 Organising Committee public nomination campaign for her role as an ambassador for cancer awareness.
At the end of Day 16 the Torch arrived in Portrush for the evening celebration.
The last Torchbearer of the day, Louise Lyons, lit the celebration cauldron on stage at the event which enabled the Olympic Flame to be seen by the audience. Louise was selected for her dedication to football coaching in the area.
