Northern Hemisphere Teams getting Close but still not quite there.

Today saw three of the Top UK, rugby union Northern Hemisphere nations push their Southern Hemisphere opponents all the way today with three tight games. The Welsh should have beaten the Aussie's but gave a way a stupid penalty in the last seconds to lose 25 - 23, whilst scoring two tries against only 1 from the Wallabies. The Irish should have had a draw but lost out to a Dan Carter drop goal in the last minutes, eventually losing to the All Blacks 22 - 19, whilst England went much closer against the Springboks finishing at 36 - 27 after a late fight back. All teams doing well but still not quite having enough to beat their Southern Hemisphere nemesis'. The gap is closing but it is still Southern Hemisphere teams with the power (for now).
