Last night on Channel Five Tyson Furry ( a name made for Boxing) won a comprehensive heavy weight Battle to again put himself forward for a fight with one of the Klitschko's.
He impressively stopped his opponent, Vinny Maddalone, an American, seasoned heavy weight campaigner, but not a contender at the same level as Tyson, in the fifth round, after making a mess of his face earlier in the fight.
It was an impressive display, especially with the combinations Tyson uses, something unusual for heavy weights.
On the same card, and later in the Channel Five Boxing program the ever impressive Chris Eubanks again done a good, solid professional job in a good fight. The young but meaner (than his dad) looking Chris fought a tough (for only his fifth pro fight) seasoned campaigner and won a unanimous points victory of his opponent and never really looked out of his depth, even against the good opponent his team, including Dad Chris, had lined up for him.
Are we looking at a future great of the British Boxing World? I think we might be.
