On Day 46 of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, 100 Torchbearers carried the Flame a distance of 75.29 miles.
The Flame takes a journey on The Great Central Railway
On Tuesday 3 July, the Flame travelled through 12 communities on its journey from Leicester to Peterborough.
The Flame began the day at the National Space Centre as the Torch was delivered by Jet Pack in a special intergalactic themed community event, before travelling from Leicester to Quorn on the Great Central Railway.
Torchbearer Audrey Cooper, who represented Great Britain in Beach Volleyball at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games, was greeted by members of Team GB at Loughborough University. Other highlights of the day included a boat trip across Rutland Water and a visit to Burghley House.
The day ended with an evening celebration at River Embankment in Peterborough.
On its journey, the Flame visited the following communities: Leicester, Quorn, Loughborough, Hoton, Wymeswold, Asfordby, Melton Mowbray, Langham, Oakham, Uppingham, Stamford and Peterborough.
