On Day 53 the Olympic Flame was greeted by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh at Windsor Castle.
The Torch Relay made a 87.05 mile journey from Oxford to Reading.
Carrying the Flame through Windsor Castle, Torchbearer Gina Macgregor, from Maidenhead, handed the flame over to 12 year old Phillip Wells from Taplow. This was witnessed by Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.
The Flame began its journey at Iffley Road Stadium, where Sir Roger Bannister handed it to the first Torchbearer of the day, Nicola Byron.
Nicola, 25, from Oxford, is studying for a doctorate in experimental psychology at Brasenose College. In 2009 she launched SRSH (Student Run Self Help), a volunteer-run organisation to provide self-help groups across the country for students with eating disorders, and has raised more than £60,000 for the programme.
Other Torchbearers during the day included Sir Steve Redgrave who carried the Flame on the water in Henley on Thames; heptathlete Denise Lewis; jockey Frankie Dettori and world-renownd chef Raymond Blanc.
The last Torchbearer of the day, Quentin Gunderson, 41, from Reading, who was selected through the Lloyds TSB campaign for the work that he does for the Lighthouse Centre in Reading.
Quentin carried the Flame into the Evening Celebration at the Madjeski Stadium in Reading where he lit a celebration cauldron on stage to enable the Olympic Flame to be seen by the audience.
