Olympic torch relay review of day 67

On Day 67 the Olympic Flame travelled on the London Underground and visited Kew Gardens.

As the Torch Relay continued its way around London, today it covered 42.97 miles, and was carried by 144 Torchbearers as it travelled from Kingston upon Thames to Ealing.

The first Torchbearer of the day was Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell who started from the Hook Community Centre in Kingston.

The Olympic Flame was also carried by London Underground Service Operator John Light in a train adorned with the Olympic Rings, which travelled from Wimbledon to Wimbledon Park.

In the London Borough of Richmond John Harding from Twickenhwit arrived the Flame into Kew Gardens past the Palm House.

In the London Borough of Hounslow 12-year-old Sai Singam carried the Flame through Hounslow High Street. Sai was selected through the London 2012 Get Set Education Programme for being an outstanding pupil at Marjory Kinnon School.

In the London Borough of Hillingdon music stars Katy B and Mark Ronson carried the Flame in and around the Brunel Graduate School at Brunel University.

The evening celebration took place on Walpole Park, Ealing.
