Olympic Torch update - Day 52: Olympic Flame visited Bletchley Park and Blenheim Palace on its way to Oxford

The Olympic Torch Relay travelled 112.32 miles through 15 communities and also visited Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

On Monday 9 July, 133 inspirational Torchbearers carried the Flame as it travelled from Luton to Oxford.

Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton started the Torch Relay on the day at St Georges Square in Luton.

Eighteen-year-old Juliet Sparrow carried the Flame to Blenheim Palace. Juliet's courage and determination has helped her to overcome a broken back, which happened while she was trekking in Costa Rica to raise money for charity.

Also carrying the Flame on Monday was Rebekah Wagnell, 16. Rebekah was born with chronic renal failure, her condition deteriorated and in 2006, she received a kidney transplant from her Dad. Last week she came back from the 18th World Transplant Games with 3 silver and 2 gold medals in the swimming events.

Badminton Olympic silver medallist Gail Emms, 34, carried the Flame in Milton Keynes.

The last Torchbearer of the day, Malcolm Fretter, 67, from Wantage lit the cauldron at the Evening Celebration which took place in South Park, Oxford.

The Relay travelled through the following communities: Luton, Dunstable, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Buckingham, Winslow, Whitchurch, Aylesbury, Stoke Mandeville, Waddesdon, Bicester, Kirtlington, Woodstock, Kidlington and Oxford.
