Today at the London 2012 Olympic games (the last day), medal table, and things not to be missed today including the Closing Ceremony

Today at the Games:

Tonight the athletes of the world will be invited to a great after-show party as the Closing Ceremony takes over the Olympic Stadium.

Before they can let their hair down completely there are still 15 gold medals to be won.

Out on the streets of London, athletes from Kenya and Ethiopia will be vying for the top honours in the men's Marathon, the medals of which, as tradition dictates, will be awarded during the Closing Ceremony.

At Hadleigh Farm it is the men's turn as they take on the testing cross-country Mountain Bike course and North Greenwich Arena is set to be an exciting conclusion to the men's Basketball competition as Spain take on the USA's 'dream team'.

The final day of competition also sees the conclusion of the Rhythmic Gymnastics and Wrestling programmes.

What's on...

Farewell to the London 2012 Olympic Games

The Closing Ceremony promises to be one not to miss! Entitled 'A Symphony of British Music', it will celebrate music as one of Britain's strongest cultural exports over the last 50 years. The worldwide broadcast starts at 9pm tonight. Why not get together with friends and family to celebrate the culmination of two fantastic weeks of sport, in what Artistic Director Kim Gavin calls 'the world's biggest after show party'.

Summary of yesterday:

Usain Bolt brought proceedings to a fitting close on the track as he anchored the Jamaican 4 x 100m Relay team to gold, setting a new world record in the process. The USA also lived up to expectations in the women's 4 x 400m Relay to secure the gold medal.

Team GB's Mo Farah also lit up the crowd as he added the men's 5000m to his 10,000m title.

At Wembley Stadium Mexico denied Brazil Olympic glory in the men's Football as they won 2-1, Oribe Peralta scoring a double.

At Hadleigh Farm, Julie Bresset of France conquered the challenging Cross Country Mountain Bike course, leading for most of the race.

Events not to be missed today:

Fred Evans & Anthony Joshua go for Gold this afternoon in Olympic Boxing.
