Both the male and female Great Britain football teams played a friendly match at the Riverside stadium in Middlesborough yesterday with different results. The ladies team were held to a 0 - 0 draw with Sweden, after having more of the chances, whilst the men's team were shown a footballing lessons by ore tournament favourites Brazil where they suffered a 2 - 0 loss.
Ryan Giggs (captain) and Stuart Pearce (coach) both put a brave face on things and said that it was a good bench mark but the game shows there's a lot still to do before the opening match against Uraguay in Cardiff. The Ladies Gb team start there tournament against New Zealand.
