Paralympics update:

Week 2 gets underway

What an exciting week of elite sport we have in store as the London 2012 Paralympic Games hit their stride.

Some of the biggest names in Paralympic Athletics will go head to head – including Oscar Pistorius (SA), Jerome Singleton (US) and Jonnie Peacock (GB) in the T44 100m final on 6 September.

On the tennis courts, Esther Vergeer (NED) is going for her fourth consecutive Singles title.

In Swimming there are more chances to see gold medallists Ellie Simmonds and Andre Brasil in action.

The Wheelchair Rugby competition gets underway this week, promising plenty of thrills and spills.

The athletes also hit the road with the Paralympic Road Cycling events starting on Wednesday.

There is plenty more action to come in almost every sport and venue – the fun has only just started.
